AFS Multi Pixel Privacy Policy

AFS Multi Pixel is a Shopify app by AdFeed Studio. It sends a store's conversion events to the store's own Meta pixels, one pixel per Shopify Market. This policy explains what the app processes for the merchants who install it.

Roles

The merchant is the controller of their shoppers' data. AdFeed Studio processes it on the merchant's behalf, as a processor, only to provide the app.

What is processed

• For each event a shopper triggers after giving marketing consent: the shopper's IP address, browser user agent, Meta cookies (_fbp, _fbc), the page URL and the products viewed or bought.
• For purchases: the order ID and value, and the customer's email, phone, name and address. These are hashed (SHA-256) before they are stored or sent; they are never stored in readable form.
• About the store: the shop domain, its Markets, and the Meta pixel IDs and Conversions API tokens the merchant enters (tokens are stored encrypted).

Why

Only to send the store's conversion events to the merchant's own Meta pixels, from the browser and through Meta's Conversions API. Nothing is sold, shared with other parties or used for any other purpose. Nothing is sent without the shopper's marketing consent, collected by the store's own cookie banner.

Sub-processors

Meta Platforms (the merchant's own pixels and Conversions API) is the only sub-processor.

Retention

• Event records: 30 days.
• A purchase waiting to be matched with its order: at most 7 days.
• Raw order data from Shopify: deleted as soon as it is processed (only hashed values are kept).
• When the merchant uninstalls the app, the Conversions API tokens are deleted at once and everything else within 48 hours of Shopify's shop redaction request.

Data requests

We honour Shopify's customer data request, customer redaction and shop redaction webhooks. Because customer data is only kept hashed, we hold nothing that identifies a customer in readable form.
